Installation and commissioning of rooftop air conditioning units

1. Installation of rooftop air conditioning units :

The installation of the unit should comply with relevant local laws and regulations, and strictly abide by the following regulations:

Hoisting equipment with a load-bearing capacity greater than the weight of the unit should be used for lifting, and the lifting speed should be limited to the permitted range.

The installation location of indoor and outdoor units must be selected appropriately. They must be installed in a place with no sunlight, away from heat sources, flammable, explosive, easily polluted or toxic or other dangerous surroundings, and in a well-ventilated place. If the unit needs to be anti-corrosion and explosion-proof, special treatment is required.

Make sure the unit is installed horizontally to facilitate smooth drainage of condensed water.

There should be recommended spacing around the unit to ensure smooth airflow. The air outlet of the outdoor unit should not be pointed in the direction of strong wind, and there should be no obstacles on it. If the top space is not enough, a curved air duct needs to be installed to guide the wind to a distant place to avoid short-circuiting the air flow and affecting the performance of the unit.

For water-cooled condensers or units with hot water coils or steam coils, when the unit is out of service for a long time, the coil should be filled with water to reduce corrosion of the pipeline. However, when the unit is out of service for a long time in winter, all water in the unit and system must be drained to prevent the coil and water supply pipeline from freezing and cracking.

This unit uses a three-phase AC power supply of 380V, 50Hz. The power supply line of the unit must match its power and be equipped with air switches, fuses and other safety devices. To ensure the reliability and safety of electrical equipment, it must be reliably grounded.

2. Commissioning and operation of rooftop air conditioning units

Before starting the unit, make sure there is no one in the unit, check whether there are any items or tools left behind, and close the unit door; when starting the unit, notify people around the unit to pay attention to safety first;

During trial operation, strictly check the running direction of the fan motor. If reverse rotation is found, stop the machine immediately, cut off the power supply, swap any two of the corresponding three-phase wires at the bottom of the fan motor contactor, and then restart the machine. Otherwise, the unit will be damaged.

When the unit is under remote control, the machine may start at any time and a sign should be posted as a reminder.

When the unit fails or there are unsafe factors, do not force it to start. At this time, the power supply should be cut off and marked clearly.
